The initial idea for our expedition grew and grew thanks in no small part to the James Caird Society.
The James Caird Society is an institution that exists to preserve the memory and honour the remarkable feats of discovery in the Antarctic, and commend the leadership of Sir Ernest Shackleton.

We've been lucky enough to have their wholehearted support of late, and they've helped the SCE in a number of ways, most notably in continuing to publicise our goals amongst their members, and also in organising a very successful fundraising ball at Dulwich College.
We hope to repay them the only way we can: with a successful trip.
